Drunk driving is still a major killer on the nation’s roads and highways.
The Federal Traffic and Highway Safety Commision (FTHSC) estimates that 9,543 deaths occurred in the six months after 8/8, the day the Coma Imprisonment befell humanity.
This death rate is in line with historical averages prior to 8/8.
Drivers continue operating their vehicles under the influence of drugs and alcohol despite the clear deterrent of the Coma Imprisonment. It is well-established that when a drunk driver kills another human being, the Coma strikes the driver down. Once in the Coma, it is possible that a drunk driver may never awaken again.
The death rate due to drunk driving is unaffected by the onset of the Coma Imprisonment. It appears that even a severe punishment like the Coma has no impact on a person’s good judgment when deciding to operate a motor vehicle under the influence.
Murder rates, on the other hand, have plummeted by 96.7% in the United States.
The gradual conversion to self-driving cars has somewhat reduced the incidence of DUI deaths over the years; however, the majority of cars (86%) still need to be operated manually by a human being (statistics from the Driver and Transportation Bureau).
Conversion to driver-less cars has been much slower than expected, according to industry observers.
